PalmPay, a key player in financial technology, has recommended customers rely on its authenticated support channels when requesting help. The firm has raised concerns that frauds involving impersonation and other deceptive tactics are becoming more common among users of electronic payment systems.
This alert comes after PalmPay recently marked Customer Service Week, as part of its initiatives to improve client assistance, encourage safer digital transactions, and increase awareness of available security features.
A significant threat identified by the company is impersonation fraud, where criminals fake identities of customer service agents or financial institutions to gain sensitive data or convince clients to approve transactions.
These frauds often include unsolicited calls, messages, offers of fake rewards, false refund claims, or demands for customers to share account details to resolve an issue.

PalmPay has advised users not to share one-time passwords (OTPs), personal identification numbers (PINs), passwords, or verification codes with anyone. It also urges clients to avoid suspicious links and independently check offers or requests for account information.
The firm has warned vendors against providing products or services based only on screenshots, customer-presented payment alerts, or unverified transaction messages. Businesses are told to confirm payments through their official transaction records before finalizing sales.
To assist users in differentiating genuine help from fraudulent approaches, PalmPay has reaffirmed the available channels. These encompass a customer service phone number (0201 888 6888), email assistance ([email protected]), its official website (www.palmpay.com), and the Live Chat tool within the PalmPay app.
Clients are prompted to access updates and aid through the company’s official social media profiles instead of unverified accounts or contact details provided by strangers.
